The love of my other life by C.J. Connolly

This is a story, or rather TWO stories about 36-year-old Josie. The two stories are two versions of the life of Josie; in one she's single. lives in Brooklyn and works at a radio station, in the other she's married, lives a luxurious life and works in a high-flying marketing role. The plot twist making this an extraordinary story, is when Josie is cycling to meet her friends for dinner but suddenly hears screeching of brakes and she crashes her bike. When she wakes up, she's thrown into a life which isn't the same as she was living before the crash. Throughout the book we follow the lives of the two versions of Josie. Both are told in an engaging way, but personally I struggled with the parallell universe / multiverse approache it never feels believable.  However, if you love stories like Sliding Doors (with Gwyneth Paltrow in the film adaptation) your are in for a treat!   Thank You to NetGalley and Joffe Books for allowing me to read this parallell universe eARC. When I First Held You by Anstey Harris

Poignant story about misjustice in the 1960s, where single mothers could be forced to give up their newborns for adoption.  Anstey Harries has managed to create an amazingly engaging and gripping story with very believable lead characters; it was refreshing reading a story with older leads.  Thoroughly recommended. Thank You to NetGalley and Amazon Publishing for allowing me to read this poignant eARC. This book is available i January 2023 - yeah, sorry you'll have to wait quite a while - but you can preorder it now by clicking this link .  #WhenIFirstHeldYou #NetGalley
