Mr. Wicked Marni Mann

Mr. Wicked is the second book in the Hooked series written by Marni Mann. Grayson, one of the three founders of Hooked, the dating app (focused on hooking up) is dedicated to no-strings pleasure.  During a drunken moment, he forgets that he is the one credited with the new part of the app - the opportunity to look for marriage rather than one-off hook-ups - and the subscriptions for the app immediately start falling. A PR specialist is called in to change the narrative and turn Grayson back into a marriage loving person. In the fantasy world of billionaires, contracts are drawn up and money thrown at the problem to ensure that Grayson gets married promptly. They find a suitable woman, the only 'problem' is that she wants more than a contract... Mr Wicked will be available in April 2024. My review of Mr Hook-up can be found here . #MrWicked #NetGalley

Forging Glory by Lainey Davis

Lainey Davis delivers again. I am a huge fan of all her Stag books, and you can never go wrong with a sports theme.  In this story, I love how Wes calls out and fights what's wrong to support the woman he loves - even risking his own career.  The second-chance romance between Cara and Wes, and their professional sporting endeavours makes this a fab story.  Forging Glory will be available on 19 December 2023, but can be preordered now. PS: Do read the prequel Forging Passion first.  The second book Forging Legacy is currently scheduled to be released in July 2024.   My review of Forging Passion: here  #ForgingGlory #NetGalley

Public Morals by Tom Coffey

What do you do when the justice system has decided that you are guilty of murder? What do you do when those putting you behind bars are the actual crooks, all busy protecting each other? Well, in the case of Terence Devine, you spend 40 years in prison trying to make the best of the situation. Thought provoking story of people trying to show that power, greed and personal gain make the justice system a very biased system where not all are treated equal. #netgalley #PublicMorals

A Christmas Escape to Arran by Ellie Henderson

Having read 'A summer wedding on Arran' by the same author, I was excited when I saw another book by her on the same island.  Edie is looking for someone to help her market her new business idea - a cosy shepherd's hut.  Amelia has it all - newly married and working her dream job - until she hasn't. Trying to deal with her husband's betrayal and start anew, she applies for and gets the job Edie has advertised. Moving from London to Arran in Scotland, she is ready for her new life and she gets lots of help from the villagers, especially all-round nice-guy Fergus.  Romantic and cosy read.  #netgalley #aChristmasEscapeToArran
