Hard duty by J. B. Turner

Hard duty is the 13th book in the action packed, high-tech and intelligent Jon Reznick thriller series.  Reznick has been called in when a former fellow agent has gone rouge, and he must now navigate a complex web of lies and misinformation to track the down the rogue before highly sensitive information is sold to the highest bidder. Reznick is a volatile and unpredictable as in the previous books, but with the support of his hand picked team - tough Scot Mac McCafferty and Trevelle Williams, the cyber security expert who lost his girlfriend in a previous book - the odds for success are as high as they can be.  It is a gripping, fast paced and clever story, where (as hoped for) the good wins in the end.  Hard duty by J. B. Turner is currently set to publish on 3 October 2024. #HardDuty13 #NetGalley #jonreznick #HardDuty13AJonReznickThriller

A fab combination of romance, danger, and family drama, but at times quite dark, with themes of violence and betrayal.  "She’s the kind of friend that points out your crown is slipping, not quietly helps fix it."

Playing the field: four books by Sasha Lace

Via Netgalley, I was given the opportunity to read the four books in the "Playing the field" series written by Sasha Lace: Playing the game Playing to score Playing for keeps Playing to win As I had all four downloaded, I read them all one after the other. They are quick, feel-good reads, bringing back my own footballing memories from playing for one of the top women's teams in my country.  Lane has created some great 'book role models' for aspiring young female footballers. The male lead characters are supportive, sweet, suitably geeky and all round cinnamon roll book boyfriends... The books will all release on 15 November 2024. PS: No idea why these books have been listed in Erotica // Literature & Fiction // BDSM on the UK part of Amazon? Highly inappropriate!!!

Happy Bloody Christmas by Jo Middleton

A festive murder mystery. Highly entertaining, vaguely believable and a whole lot of ditsy - but all in a very good way!!  After the family's annual pre Christmas party, Anna is feeling worse for wear and all she wants is to finish her to-do list and finally sit down with the world’s biggest glass of wine. When she opens the larder, her plans are quickly thrown to smithereens after discovering a dead body taking up the space. To Anna's dismay, the local police are more interested in returning to the station to eat mince pies than investigating the crime. Anna and her best friend Jennie get their thinking caps on, the murder boards out and work their way down the list of suspects.  Never waste a good knife! Happy Bloody Christmas will be available in all good book stores on 26 September 2024.  #HappyBloodyChristmas #netgalley
