Mia is a 28 year old widow who is moving back home and meeting up with her childhood best friend Mitch - or at least they were every June. Mitch's fiancee Lacey is having none of it and "weaves a web of manipulation and deceit so complicated that it’s hard to determine if she is the victim or the villain.

Weirdly, I switched between rooting for Mia and then Lacey - Mia was annoyingly immature in many parts of the book and Lacey sort of comes across as more likeable a person.
