The Make-Believe Widow by Darcy Burke

Second chance romance in the regency area - where sometimes appearances and meeting society's expectations are more important than the truth.

James Ludlow, Earl of Rotherham (known as Roth to his friends), is on the look-out for a new mother to his daughters.

To enjoy some level of freedom as an independent woman Charlotte is pretending to be a widow despite her husband dying before they managed to marry. Seh runs her own household and is dedicated to training your girls to become maids for the upper classes.

Charlotte and Roth meet at a house party organised by a joint friend. The purpose of the party is to allow people to make new acquaintances, perhaps for something long-term or at least for a weekend of fun - all very modern sounding in my view, but let's go with it as it gives us a good starting point to build on for this enjoyable and captivating story.

The Make-Believe Widow by Darcy Burke is available now.

One-Problem Writing: A Writer's Guide To Speed-Writing Helpful Non-Fiction Books And Earning Money In 7-Days Or Less by Dennis Becker

Give them an offer they can’t refuse and promise their satisfaction; a very inspiring and hands-on book Title:  One-Problem Writing: A Writer's Guide To Speed-Writing Helpful Non-Fiction Books And Earning Money In 7-Days Or Less Author:  Dennis Becker Becker is very encouraging in everyone's ability to write helpful non-fiction books. As he puts it, if you can write an email to a friend explaining how to do something, you can write a book about the same thing! Becker encourages us to start thinking of what we’re really good at and to make us think about if anyone has ever told us that we do something better and faster than anyone else? According to him, it pays to write about what we know, but he adds the warning that we need to check that it's a topic people are already spending money on or we'll be wasting our time! To succeed, try to be as specific as possible and use a topic that focuses on ONE problem people have. If you are eager to cover more than one topic; writ...
