Island in the Sun by Katie Fforde

Cass has agreed to help her father out by taking on a photography project in the Caribbean Island of Dominica -- the 'simple' mission is to to use an old, hand-drawn map to find a rare stone carving, and to take photos of it.

The island has recently been hit be a severe hurricane, leaving destruction in its wake and Cass find herself part of the rescue mission.

She creates close bonds with some of the other members of the rescue mission, including her father's contact Ranulph who she travelled to the island with.

In true "romance novel tactic" they both doubt that the other ones is interested and misunderstandings develop to later be resolved.

Entertaining, uplifting story of finding courage and love, with the added benefit of getting to know Dominica and life there - and finding out Fforde's connection to the island.

This title will be published on 15 February 2024.

Big Bad Boss: Midnight, by Renee Rose and Lee Savino

First things first: This book ends with a cliff hanger and after getting over that frustration, it leaves you wanting to hurry up the authors to publish the next one, and the one after that in this Werewolves of Wall Street trilogy. Brick, the lead male, is the stereotypical billionaire a-hole, going through assistants quicker than he changes his underwear - well, that's until Madison comes along and puts him in his place. She's bright, sassy and knows what she wants - enough money to pay her brother's tuition fees and to do some under cover research.   Big Bad Boss: Midnight is an amazingly well written and captivating shifter story mixing hotness and business; a shame it ended with a cliffhanger. It's publishing tomorrow 29 February 2024. #BigBadBoss #NetGalley

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas Julianna Keyes

As it says in the blurb from the publisher: " Hallmark with Snark " Two writers, who both hate Christmas, are set the challenge to spend a week in a Noelville, a dedicated Christmas resort and write a sappy, Christmas loving story. The winner gets a sought after promotion. What could go wrong? Well, it is the festive season and not even these two Grinches manage to stay unaffected by the magic. Lots of fab banter, some 'balanced' Christmas sap - all in all a sweet Christmas story with e HEA.  It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas by Julianna Keyes is available from 1 December 2024.  #ItsBeginningtoLookaLotLikeChristmas #NetGalley.

The Favourites by Layne Fargo

Intense. Heart wrenching. The intrigue was real, and often extremely well hidden.  "To the world, they were a scandal. To each other, an obsession." Kat lives for her figure skating. Heath Rocha was a way to get there - not her first love. Kat is determination. Heath is power, dark power.  The figure skating world is manipulative, where being best is closely linked to having money, and people in your hands. To always wanting more of everything. Quote from the book: "But what was the point if you had everything and enjoyed nothing?" I loved the layers of this story. It would be fab on the big screen! The Favourites by Layne Fargo is currently set to publish on 16 January 2025.  #TheFavourites #NetGalley
