I love reading and try to read a mixture of fiction and factual books, so you'll be able to find a wide range of book reviews on this site. 

Working in a high paced role I read both for work (leadership, science, politics, business, etc) and to relax (general and historical fiction, and some sappy romance when the mood requires it).

The genres and subjects are always rather random as I am easily distracted by reading recommendations from friends and family as well as by the weird and wonderful algorithms on Amazon, Goodreads, NetGalley and Google. 

Most of the books reviewed have been obtained from NetGalley so you'll be able to sometimes spot books here before they are available in the shops. From time to time I subscribe to Kindle Unlimited, other times I borrow ebooks from my local library or buy 'real books' from local bookshops or charity shops.

First things first: This book ends with a cliff hanger and after getting over that frustration, it leaves you wanting to hurry up the authors to publish the next one, and the one after that in this Werewolves of Wall Street trilogy. Brick, the lead male, is the stereotypical billionaire a-hole, going through assistants quicker than he changes his underwear - well, that's until Madison comes along and puts him in his place. She's bright, sassy and knows what she wants - enough money to pay her brother's tuition fees and to do some under cover research.   Big Bad Boss: Midnight is an amazingly well written and captivating shifter story mixing hotness and business; a shame it ended with a cliffhanger. It's publishing tomorrow 29 February 2024. #BigBadBoss #NetGalley

Intense. Heart wrenching. The intrigue was real, and often extremely well hidden.  "To the world, they were a scandal. To each other, an obsession." Kat lives for her figure skating. Heath Rocha was a way to get there - not her first love. Kat is determination. Heath is power, dark power.  The figure skating world is manipulative, where being best is closely linked to having money, and people in your hands. To always wanting more of everything. Quote from the book: "But what was the point if you had everything and enjoyed nothing?" I loved the layers of this story. It would be fab on the big screen!
